Cast Bronze Standing Bulldog, Miniature Cabinet Sculpture with Verdigris Patina
A small cast bronze bulldog rendered in a planted, four-square stance — head turned slightly, heavy jowls and brow modeled with a sculptor's attention to the breed's characteristic mass. The surface carries a mottled verdigris patina over warm bronze, with the original metal breaking through across the high points of the back, shoulders, and muzzle where handling has worn the green away. The modeling is loose and tactile rather than highly finished, giving the figure a hand-worked, expressive quality.
