Fenton Cranberry Thumbprint Glass Electrified Parlor Lamp on Marble Base
A parlor lamp in cranberry glass by Fenton Art Glass, pairing a rounded thumbprint font with a matching ruffled-top student-style shade. The deep raspberry tone glows warm when lit, the thumbprint pattern reading clearly through the glass on both font and shade. A pierced and ribbon-edged metal shade ring crowns the brass burner-form fitting, with a clear glass chimney rising through the ruffled crest.
The font sits on a turned brass standard mounted to a square white marble base with a scalloped collar. Fenton's thumbprint motif — a Victorian favorite the Williamstown, West Virginia glassmaker carried forward through mid-century production — gives the form its rhythm of recessed ovals across the swollen body. Wired for electric use with a standard two-prong plug.
CONDITION
Very Good overall; fully functional and tested. Minor chips to the marble base edges; glass components show no major damage. Felt bottom intact on the underside of the base.
