Oneida Community "Silver Artistry" 76-Piece Service for 12 with Storage Chest
A complete Oneida Community silverplate flatware service in the Silver Artistry pattern (introduced 1965), housed in a fitted two-drawer wooden chest. Each handle carries the deep Baroque scrollwork and floral relief that defines the pattern, and the pieces are maker-marked Community along the back of the stem. The service comprises twelve place settings plus serving pieces and a set of napkin rings, with original documentation including the Community Silver by Oneida Silversmiths Lifetime Guarantee Certificate.
The chest is a cherry-finished case with a hinged lid lined in Pacific Silvercloth anti-tarnish fabric, a slotted lid rack for the knives, a fitted upper tray, and a lower drawer for serving pieces and napkin rings. Brass cartouches, scrolled drawer pull, and side carry handles complete the case. Silver Artistry remains one of Oneida's most recognizable mid-century formal patterns, equally suited to full table service or to breaking up as replacement pieces.
CONDITION
Good. Flatware shows light signs of use; we'll leave the polishing to you. The chest has moderate wear from storage, including paint splatter and surface marks to the wood and brass.
