Brad Loving "Buffalo Woman" Earth Guardian Stoneware Wall Sculpture, 22K Gold Accents

A tall, stylized figure from the Earth Guardian Collection by Loving Design Studio, this wall-mounted stoneware sculpture is titled "Buffalo Woman" in the artist's hand on the original hangtag. The cloaked female form is rendered in warm terra-cotta clay with high-fire glazes in rust red, sand, cream, and white, set off by 22K gold accents running down the central column of the robe. The profile face, dark hair, and hooped earrings sit above a sweeping mantle of stained-glass-style banding — heavy outlining separates each color field, giving the piece its tile-like, segmented look.

Each Loving Design sculpture is an original creation, hand-made of stoneware terra-cotta clay and finished with high-fire glazes and gold or platinum accents. The collection's earth guardian figures draw on ancient civilizations and cultures, each distinguished by its own symbols. Artist Brad Loving built his practice from teaching his craft into interpreting the art of the Pueblo through these designs. The reverse is finished in unglazed slipped clay with an integrated keyhole hanger for wall display.

CONDITION

Very Good. No remarkable damage and no visible flaws apart from minor paint loss to a small section. Glaze surfaces remain bright and the gold accents are clean.
