Mirta Mountain Cabin Landscape, Signed Oil on Canvas in Gilt Linen-Lined Frame
An autumn valley scene by the artist Mirta, signed lower right in pale impasto strokes. The composition opens onto a stone-and-plaster cabin with a red tile roof, set against a sharply peaked granite mountain rendered in cool grays. A dirt path winds through golden underbrush and turning foliage, flanked by aspen-like trunks and warm seasonal color worked up in heavy palette-knife texture. The handling of the foreground — built-up oil ridges catching the light across grass, fallen leaves, and brush — gives the small canvas real surface presence.
The painting is oil on stretched canvas, presented in a substantial gilt wood and plaster frame with a woven linen liner.
