Claude Nicollier Signed Card — Swiss ESA Astronaut, First Swiss in Space
Autograph card boldly signed in black ink by Claude Nicollier, the Swiss astrophysicist who became the first citizen of Switzerland to fly in space. The front carries a printed U.S. Capitol dome motif with the heading "Autograph of C. Nicollier"; the verso bears the collector's pencil notation "C. Nicollier — Astronaut." The signature is clean and well-formed, sitting prominently across the card face.
Selected by the European Space Agency in 1978, Nicollier logged four Space Shuttle missions between 1992 and 1999, including the critical STS-61 Hubble Space Telescope servicing flight and a spacewalk on STS-103. A signed card from an ESA-trained shuttle veteran carries genuine appeal for space-program autograph collectors.
CONDITION
Very Good. Card stock is clean and bright with crisp edges; ink signature is dark and undisturbed. Light handling only.
