Hank Williams MGM LP Collection, Set of 6 — Includes On Stage! & Luke the Drifter

A six-album run of Hank Williams and Hank Williams, Jr. LPs on MGM Records, drawn from a single owner and largely acquired in the 1960s and 1970s. The group centers on the senior Williams catalog — I'm Blue Inside (E3926), Luke the Drifter (E3927, with the Charlie Lamb liner essay), First, Last & Always (E3928), The Unforgettable Hank Williams (E3733), and the live On Stage! Recorded Live (E3999), with John Gundlefinger cover painting and Grant Turner notes. Rounding out the set is Hank Williams, Jr. — Living Proof (M3G 4971, 1974), featuring "I'll Think of Something" and Jerry Rivers' first-person liner note.

These MGM pressings span the label's High Fidelity era and capture the posthumous repackaging that kept Williams in print through the decades following his 1953 death. The cover art alone is a study in period design — from the abstract textured portrait on I'm Blue Inside to the weathered-fence motif of First, Last & Always and the railroad-crossing pastoral of Luke the Drifter. All six jackets retain their full track listings and original liner essays by writers including Nat Hentoff.

CONDITION

Good overall, single-owner group. Records are playable. Jackets show age-appropriate wear including edge and corner softening, surface soiling, ring wear, and small adhesive remnants or price stickers (a "Music Box" sticker remains on On Stage!; pencil notations on Luke the Drifter). No unpleasant odors. Sold as shown.
