Dragon Wings City Bird MD-11 "Seagull" 1:400 Diecast Model, N273WA
A 1:400 scale diecast model of the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 in the livery of City Bird, the Belgian carrier that flew under the slogan "The Flying Dream." Issued by Dragon Wings as part of the Première Collection, the model wears the airline's white fuselage with green titles, the stylized yellow "y" logo on the tail, and Belgian and EU flags. Registration N273WA, aircraft named Seagull.
Carries item no. 55056 and Dragon Models Ltd. copyright dated 1998. The MD-11 was the tri-jet successor to the DC-10, and City Bird operated the type on long-haul charter and scheduled routes from Brussels in the late 1990s before ceasing operations in 2001 — making the airline and its full liveries a focused niche for diecast collectors. Marked a collector's model, not suitable for children under 14.
