Sorceress & Coiled Dragon Two-Piece Sculpture with Crystal Orb & Faceted Crown Gem
A two-piece fantasy figural group in cast resin: a robed sorceress poised in thought, her hand to her chin, cradling a faceted crystal orb in her open palm. Her trailing green-and-aubergine gown is finished with applied floral-vine ornament in rust and ochre, and she wears a gilt crown set with a faceted blue prism stone at the brow. The figure lifts away from a separate, coiled purple dragon base, the serpentine body wrapping into a low oval with a sculpted head, brushed-gold spined ridges, and a rosy-red inner shell. The two parts nest together, with the dragon's open coil framing the gowned figure as she rises from its center.
Both components carry a felt-lined underside; the piece is unmarked. The crown's center point shows a previous repair. The dragon's spine and the gown's vinework are picked out in metallic gold against the deep purples and gradient greens, giving the group its full theatrical color range.
CONDITION
Good overall. The center point of the crown has a previous repair. Surfaces retain their painted detail with the metallic and gradient finishes intact across both pieces.
