Mantel Vase with Pair of Amber Luster Glass Pillar Candle Holders
This three-piece grouping has the kind of presence that anchors a mantel or console and pulls a room together. The centerpiece is a hexagonal ceramic mantel vase finished in layered sage green over a rust underlayer — a deliberate rubbed-back technique that gives it the warmth of something accumulated over decades rather than purchased last Tuesday. Cream neoclassical motifs wrap the body: paired swans flanking an urn, palmette fans, fleur-de-lis, and trailing acanthus scrollwork. The shoulders carry applied gilt fruit-cluster handles, and the rim and base band are finished in worn gold — richly decorative without tipping into fussiness.
Flanking the vase is a matched pair of amber luster glass pillar candle holders with turned baluster stems and stepped square bases. The warm honey tone of the glass plays well against the sage and gold of the vase — clearly curated to work together. Each holder accommodates a standard 3¼" pillar candle. CONDITION
Good overall. Scuffing and finish wear throughout on both the vase and the candle holder bases; the rubbed and worn surfaces on the vase are intentional by design, not damage. No chips, cracks, or structural issues noted on any of the three pieces.
