Pioneer HPM-700 4-Way Floor Speakers, Pair — Walnut-Grained Cabinets
A matched pair of Pioneer HPM-700 loudspeakers, the four-way system that anchored Pioneer's High Polymer Molecular series. Each cabinet carries a four-driver array: a 10" cone woofer with green foam surround, an octagonal-bezel midrange, a circular dome high-frequency unit, and the small rectangular ribbon-style supertweeter that gave the HPM line its reputation for airy top end. The cream driver bezels and ribbed black baffle make for an unmistakable late-1970s industrial face, mounted in walnut-grained vinyl cabinets per the original yellow factory labels.
Rear panels carry the full Pioneer Electronic Corp. badge with separate MID and HIGH level controls, push-terminal inputs, and model plates reading HPM-700, 8 Ω, made in Japan. The included grilles are intact and retain their emblems, though the grille fabric is damaged (grilles not photographed). A durable, efficient pair from Pioneer's flagship home-audio era.
CONDITION
Good. Cabinets show scuffing and minor wear from use, including light scratches to the vinyl and a small corner separation on one cabinet edge. Cones are in good shape across both speakers. Grilles are included and intact with emblems but the fabric is damaged. Tested and guaranteed.
