Swarovski Silver Crystal "When We Were Young" Train Set — Complete 6-Piece Collection in Original Boxes
The complete Swarovski Silver Crystal train collection, assembled piece by piece across the early 1990s and presented here in its entirety with all six original cylindrical boxes and accompanying certificates. Each car is hand-faceted lead crystal with the signature Swarovski swan logo etched on the body, joined by tiny silver-tone metal couplings that allow the full train to be displayed in a flowing curve nearly two feet long. The locomotive leads with its distinctive smokestack, bell, and cab, trailed by the tender, two open wagons with crystal-ball cargo, the tanker car, and the passenger wagon with faceted window panels.
The set comprises the Locomotive (Art. 7471 NR 000 001), Tender (Art. 7471 NR 000 002), Wagon (Art. 7471 NR 000 003), second Wagon (Art. 7471 NR 000 004), Tanker (Art. 7471 NR 000 005), and Petits Fours / Passenger Wagon (Art. 7471 NR 000 006). Designed by Gabriele Stamey and produced by Swarovski in Wattens, Austria, the train series became one of the most beloved Silver Crystal collections — a complete matched set with original packaging and paperwork is increasingly difficult to find together.
