Swarovski Silver Crystal "Tortue G.M." Large Tortoise Figurine with Original Box
A faceted Swarovski Silver Crystal tortoise figurine, the larger "G.M." (Grande Modèle) size, with a domed shell rendered as a single brilliant-cut crystal resting atop four faceted spherical feet that catch and throw light from every angle. The piece comes housed in its original cylindrical Swarovski Silver Crystal presentation box with the foam insert intact and a handwritten "TORTUE G.M." label affixed to the side.
Swarovski's Silver Crystal animal line, launched in 1976, became one of the most widely collected giftware series of the late twentieth century, with the tortoise among the earliest and most enduring designs in the range. The original box dates this example to the earlier production era when the foil-printed cylindrical packaging was standard. A Swarovski certificate is shown in supplemental reference imagery and is included with the lot.
CONDITION
Good with no damage noted. Crystal is bright and clear with full sparkle across the faceted shell and feet. Original box shows expected shelf wear with scuffing and minor losses to the foil printing.
