Arden Gardens & Craftsman 80th Anniversary Advertising Thermometers, Pair

A pair of wall-mount advertising thermometers spanning two distinct eras of American hardware and garden retail. The first is a tin Arden Gardens thermometer marked "everything for lawn & garden," illustrated with an orange Comet 21 riding mower and a sample address block reading "Sample 100, west middlesex plaza, Phone 870-0500" — almost certainly a salesman's sample or unfilled dealer blank intended for local imprinting. The second is a sculptural Craftsman 80 Years Special Edition thermometer cast in the form of a combination wrench, commemorating the 1927–2007 anniversary of the Sears Craftsman tool line.

Both are functional dual-scale °F/°C thermometers designed for shop, garage, or garden-shed display. The Arden Gardens piece carries the warm graphic vocabulary of late-1960s/early-1970s point-of-sale advertising; the Craftsman wrench reads as a deliberate retro-industrial tribute, issued at the brand's 80th anniversary. CONDITION

Very Good with no remarkable damage. Minor surface oxidation to the Arden Gardens thermometer along the tin edges and mounting tabs. Craftsman piece presents cleanly. Both thermometer columns intact.
