1995 USPS Civil War Commemorative Stamp Sheet, Framed — Full Pane of 20
The complete 1995 U.S. Postal Service Civil War commemorative pane, professionally framed behind glass with a neutral linen mat and a silver-leafed wood frame. Issued June 29, 1995 as part of the USPS Classic Collection series, the sheet features twenty 32¢ stamps depicting the war's defining figures and engagements — Lincoln, Lee, Grant, Davis, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Stonewall Jackson, Sherman, Farragut, and Stand Watie among them, framed by the battles of Shiloh, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and the Monitor–Virginia ironclad clash.
The pane is presented face-out with the illustrated decorative header intact. The verso descriptive panel — printed biographical capsules for each subject along with the original USPS souvenir-book mail-in offer expiring July 1, 1996 — is concealed behind the backing but documented here in the supplemental reference. A handsome ready-to-hang piece of 1990s philatelic Americana.
CONDITION
Very Good. No damage noted to the pane, mat, or glass. Frame shows light wear consistent with age. Original picture-hanger hardware bag still attached to the verso.
