Mexican Folk Art Hand-Painted Terracotta Mango & Peach Banks, Pair
A charming pair of hand-painted terracotta fruit banks in the form of a ripe yellow mango and a blushing peach. Each is sculpted from unglazed clay and finished with matte pigment — the mango in warm sunshine tones with a green stem and small wire hanger, the peach in coral and red with a deep purple stem and stylized black-and-white leaf flourishes. Coin slots are integrated into the body of each piece, identifying them as traditional folk-art savings banks of a style long produced in Mexican pottery villages.
Unmarked, 20th-century Mexican folk pottery. Sold as a decorative pair — display together on a shelf, sideboard, or kitchen ledge for a quick hit of warmth and color.
CONDITION
Good overall with no remarkable damage and no chips. Minor scuffs and light paint loss consistent with age and handling. Both pieces sit and display well.
