Mid-Century Wrought Iron Mesh Patio Dining Set — Table & 4 Barrel Chairs
A five-piece mid-century wrought iron patio dining set in the floral-and-scroll idiom popularized by Russell Woodard and Salterini during the 1950s and 60s. The round table rests on a four-leg base with a center umbrella aperture and an expanded steel mesh top edged in a smooth iron rim. Surrounding it are four matching barrel-back armchairs, each with a curved crest rail ornamented with applied floral and scrollwork castings, a mesh seat and back, and splayed tubular legs ending in disc feet.
The set was finished in white enamel and shows the chalky, chipped patina of long outdoor service — a finish honest to its decades on a patio. The silhouette, mesh gauge, scrollwork vocabulary, and foot detail are consistent with American wrought iron garden furniture of the period. A complete, matched group of one table plus four armchairs in a single design, currently in white — an easy canvas for whatever color your garden calls for.
CONDITION
Good and structurally sound throughout. Finish shows chipping, paint loss, and surface rust/oxidation consistent with age-appropriate wear and outdoor use. All five pieces stand square and stable.
