Vintage Cast Iron Floor-Standing Drill Press, Belt-Driven
A heavy cast iron floor-standing drill press of mid-twentieth-century industrial form, finished in worn medium blue enamel over a substantial cast base, tubular steel column, and adjustable square worktable. The head assembly carries a multi-step pulley arrangement under a domed belt cover, with a side-mounted electric motor driving the spindle through a flat belt. A five-spoke ball-handle feed wheel controls quill travel to the keyed three-jaw chuck, and secondary levers manage table elevation and column lock. A factory caution decal in English, French, and Spanish remains adhered to the upper column.
CONDITION
Poor and non-functional. Motor powers on but the spindle does not turn. Power cord requires replacement before any further testing. Heavy paint loss, surface rust, pitting, and shop grime throughout consistent with long working life and extended storage. Sold as-is for restoration, parts, or decorative use.
