Rattan & Bamboo Loveseat with Cushions, in the Style of Franco Albini
A two-seat bentwood rattan loveseat in the style of Franco Albini, built around a sculpted bamboo frame with looped arched cresting, scrolled open arms, and bound rattan wrappings at each joint. The hooped back rail and arched stretcher base deliver the airy, curvilinear silhouette that Albini pioneered in his celebrated wicker and rattan seating of the 1950s — most famously the Margherita and Gala chairs produced by Vittorio Bonacina. The formal language is unmistakably drawn from that lineage.
The loveseat comes with a matching two-piece Better Homes and Gardens cushion set in a rust-red Jacobean floral pattern — a separate tufted seat squab and tied back cushion, both filled with 100% polyester fiber batting. The open rattan frame works equally well as sunroom, porch, or accent seating.
CONDITION
Good overall. Frame shows scratches, scuffing, and fading to the rattan finish consistent with age and use; minor lifting and fraying to several of the rattan binding wraps. Cushions present clean with no notable staining.
