1921-S Morgan Silver Dollar, San Francisco Mint
1921 Morgan Silver Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan and struck in 90% silver at the San Francisco Mint. S mint mark, located beneath the wreath on the reverse above the "DO" of "DOLLAR."
The 1921 issue marks the final year of Morgan Dollar production and the only year struck from newly prepared shallow-relief dies after the original 1878–1904 master hubs were destroyed under the terms of the Pittman Act. The San Francisco issue had a mintage of 21,695,000, the lowest of the three 1921 Morgan mints.
