1976 United States Bicentennial Silver Proof Set — Eisenhower Dollar, Kennedy Half, Washington Quarter
The official United States Bicentennial Silver Proof Set issued by the U.S. Mint to commemorate the nation's 200th anniversary. Three-coin set featuring the dual-dated 1776-1976 Eisenhower Dollar, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Washington Quarter — all struck in 40% silver at the San Francisco Mint and bearing the "S" mint mark. Each coin carries a special bicentennial reverse: the Liberty Bell superimposed over the Moon (dollar), Independence Hall (half dollar), and the Colonial Drummer designed by Jack L. Ahr (quarter).
Coins are presented in their original sealed plastic capsules, set into a navy felt-lined display folio with a red satin interior leaf bearing the gold-script "United States Bicentennial Silver Proof Set" legend and tricolor ribbon graphic. The outer blue cover is stamped with the 13-star Betsy Ross arrangement encircling "1776-1976." A staple of American commemorative numismatics and the most iconic proof issue of the Bicentennial era.
