1980-S United States Mint Proof Set — Six-Coin Set in Original Case
1980-S United States Mint Proof Set, a six-coin set struck at the San Francisco Mint and issued by the United States Mint in its original hard plastic display case with outer cardboard sleeve. The set comprises the Lincoln Memorial Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Susan B. Anthony Dollar — each bearing the S mint mark.
1980 marked the first year the Susan B. Anthony Dollar appeared in a regular proof set following its 1979 debut, and it was the first year the S mint mark appeared on the Jefferson Nickel since 1970. The set was sold directly by the U.S. Mint to collectors as part of its annual proof program.
