Decorative Officer's Sword with Filigree Hilt and Scabbard
A decorative officer's-style dress sword with chrome-plated furniture and a curved 440 stainless blade. The hilt carries a pierced and engraved guard with scrolling foliate filigree, a black leather-wrapped grip bound with twisted wire, and a domed pommel cap. The blade is marked 440 STAINLESS at the ricasso and shows a polished mirror finish with a single fuller along the spine.
The accompanying scabbard is sheathed in black leather with chrome throat and chape mounts. The form references late 19th and early 20th century European cavalry and infantry officer patterns, executed here as a modern ceremonial or display piece rather than a service-issue weapon.
CONDITION
Fair overall. Finish wear and some finish loss noted on the handle area, with cracking and flaking to the chrome plating on the pommel and ferrule visible on close examination. Blade remains bright with minor handling marks. Leather grip wrap and scabbard covering are intact.
