Heritage Collection Hand-Tufted Indian Wool Rug, Green & Gold Floral, 8' Square
A hand-tufted wool area rug from the Heritage Collection, pattern HG:08 Green, handcrafted in India with a 100% wool pile on a cotton backing. The field is a soft sage green centered on a diamond medallion, framed by a wide gold border filled with vases, palmettes, and scrolling vines drawn from classical Persian floral vocabulary. Secondary colors include rust, deep teal, ivory, and muted blue, all set into a traditional all-over arabesque.
The square format is uncommon in production rugs and suits a large entry, library, or a furniture grouping built around a central seating area. Tufted construction gives a dense, plush hand underfoot while delivering the visual cues of a hand-knotted Persian-style carpet at a more accessible scale. Maker's label intact on the underside.
CONDITION
Good. Pile is full with even color and minimal traffic wear. Binding on the underside of one corner is loose and will benefit from a simple repair.
