Forty-two cars, trucks, planes, and racers — the contents of a 1970s and early '80s toy box, poured out and laid flat. Lesney Matchbox from England. Hot Wheels from the Mattel Hong Kong years. Kidco Lock-Ups. Summer Formula racers with their oversized rear slicks. A Warner Bros. General Lee, an orange #01 that needs no introduction. A Honda 750 with a tiny rider still bolted on. The Seasprite helicopter with rotor intact. A Cessna 210 that lived through every backyard runway a six-year-old ever built.
The paint is chipped. The decals are rubbed thin. A dump truck is missing its wheels. None of that is accidental — these went down driveways, off coffee tables, into sandboxes, and through every imaginable scenario a kid could invent before dinner. The wear is the history.
