Crate GX-15 Practice Guitar Amplifier with Overdrive Channel

Compact Crate GX-15 combo practice amp made in the U.S.A. by SLM Electronics, St. Louis, Missouri. The GX-15 offers dual-channel operation — a clean channel and a footswitchable overdrive channel — each with independent level controls, plus a three-band EQ (Low, Mid, High) shared across the signal path. A 1/4" headphone output mutes the speaker for silent practice, and an auxiliary input accepts a phone or media player for play-along use. The open-back cabinet houses a single Crate-branded 8" speaker (model 86-105-04, 4Ω). Comes with power cord attached.

The GX-15 was part of Crate's long-running GX series, positioned as an entry-to-intermediate practice amp and a staple of bedroom and small-room players through the 1990s and 2000s. SLM Electronics produced Crate amplifiers in St. Louis until the brand's later offshore transition; U.S.-made examples like this one carry the distinction of domestic construction. Good overall. Fully functional and tested with good sound quality across both channels. Minor scuffs and edge wear to the textured vinyl cabinet covering. No remarkable structural damage.
