T.C. Stuart "The Order of Tradition I" Geometric Abstract, Framed
A large-format geometric abstract by T.C. Stuart, signed in the lower right. The composition layers warm metallics — antique gold, bronze, pewter, and slate — into an architectural arrangement of rectangles, triangles, and gridded squares, punctuated by a floating spherical orb and a vertical column of black quatrefoil forms. Surface texture is rendered to mimic troweled plaster and gilded panels, with crisp linear divisions giving the work a strong Art Deco–meets–contemporary sensibility.
Titled The Order of Tradition I, the work is presented under glass in a wide black molded frame with cream double mat. The scale and palette make this a natural anchor above a sofa or console, and equally suited to a corporate or hospitality setting where neutral metallics carry the room.
CONDITION
Good overall. Image and mat present clean with no apparent foxing or fading. Frame shows separation at the lower corners with minor chipping to the black finish along the mitered joints, and light handling scuffs to the frame edges.
