Cut Steel Desert Sunscape Wall Panel — Sun Face with Ocotillo & Saguaro
A bold, framed cut-steel wall panel built from layered, hand-finished plates depicting a classic Sonoran desert tableau: a large sun face with radiating rays crowning the composition, an ocotillo in patinated yellow-green to the lower left, and a pair of saguaro cacti rising from a russet ground at the lower right. The background plates carry a hand-applied finish — turquoise-blue sky on one side, rust-orange earth on the other — while the foreground figures are cut from separate sheets and riveted into a tiered, dimensional assembly that throws real shadow against the wall.
The whole panel is set within a dark wood frame, giving it the heft of a window opening onto the desert. Suitable for covered patio, portal, or interior wall.
CONDITION
Good. Finish is clean and even across the steel plates with intentional torch-applied coloration; wood frame is sound with light handling marks. No bends, breaks, or active corrosion noted.
