Manhattan Clear 36-Piece Luncheon Set, Anchor Hocking
A 36-piece service in Anchor Hocking's Manhattan Clear pattern, produced 1938–1943. The concentric horizontal ribbing — radiating from a tight bullseye center outward to a plain rim — is the definitive Art Deco motif of American Depression-era pressed glass. All pieces are unmarked, consistent with standard Anchor Hocking production for the line.
The lot includes six 6⅛" bread and butter plates, eight 8" salad plates, twelve 10" dinner plates, and ten flat-style handled cups — a complete entertaining service for ten.
CONDITION
Good overall with signs of use and light utensil wear consistent with age. One 8" salad plate shows a minor imperfection at the bullseye center. No chips or cracks noted by staff.
