Magpie Pottery Santa Fe Paisley Bowl & Four-Panel Tile Trivet
A two-piece grouping from Magpie Pottery of Santa Fe, comprising a leaf-form serving bowl with deeply impressed paisley and floral medallions under a pooling cobalt-to-slate glaze, and a square four-panel tile trivet that pairs olive-glazed botanical imagery, sepia phoenix figures, and a bold cobalt scroll quadrant. The contrast between the bowl's dense, all-over paisley field and the trivet's quadrant composition — each panel its own glaze palette and motif — makes the pairing more interesting together than apart. Both pieces are hand-built and hand-painted, bearing the stamped Magpie Pottery mark alongside the Santa Fe cross emblem on the underside.
Lot includes the oval bowl, the square tile trivet, and an iron display stand.
CONDITION
Excellent overall, no damage noted. Glazes are bright and fully intact, with crisp impressed detail throughout both pieces. Maker's mark is clearly legible on the underside of the bowl.
