Technics SA-303 FM/AM Stereo Receiver | Walnut Cabinet | Tested

The Technics SA-303 is a late-1970s FM/AM stereo receiver manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. in Japan, pairing a brushed aluminum faceplate with a walnut-veneered wood cabinet in the classic silver-and-wood aesthetic of the Japanese hi-fi boom. The backlit slide-rule tuning dial and illuminated power level meters anchor a full control complement: bass, treble, balance, hi-filter, loudness, dual tape monitor loops, source selector (AM/FM/phono/aux), FM muting/mode switch, and main/remote speaker zone switching. The rear panel carries the manufacturer data plate, serial number CB1618F162, FM and AM antenna terminals, phono and aux inputs, dual tape record/playback pairs, a switched AC outlet, and speaker circuit protection fuses rated at 3.3A for both zones. The phono input makes this a practical pairing for a turntable-based system.

CONDITION

Good overall; the unit is fully functional and tested per consignor. Walnut veneer shows moderate wear including surface scratches across the top panel, chipping and lifting at the top rear corner adjacent to the rear grille, and a small chip at the lower front edge of one cabinet side. T
