Blenko Hand-Blown Smoke Glass Whale Sculpture, 21" Large Scale, Foil Label
Hand-blown art glass whale by Blenko Glass Company of Milton, West Virginia, executed in a striking smoke/charcoal colorway with applied clear glass peg feet, bifurcated tail fin, and an open mouth form. The sculptural body retains its original etched foil "Blenko Handmade" label — a detail collectors specifically seek for authentication. At 21 inches long, this is an unusually large example of Blenko's figural animal line, consistent with production from the late 1960s through 1980s.
CONDITION
Good with no damage observed. Glass surface is clean and bright, with original foil label intact and legible. Standard hand-blown irregularities and interior striations consistent with Blenko production.
