Atomic MCM Tripod Table Lamp — Two-Tier Fiberglass Shade, 1950s
Classic American atomic-era table lamp pairing a sculptural wrought iron tripod base with a two-tier fiberglass drum shade in the unmistakable 1950s "shotgun" pattern — gold and ivory strands embedded throughout the parchment, finished with twisted whip-stitch lacing at the rims of each tier. The black-enameled base converges through a center collar to a circular foot ring, a form vocabulary shared with Frederic Weinberg, Tony Paul, and the Majestic Lamp Co. of the same period.
Hardware at the harp base is stamped "DESIGNERS LAMPS," a secondary American maker active in the early Atomic Age, when dozens of small manufacturers produced their own takes on the iconic tripod-and-tiered-shade format for department stores and furniture chains. All original and tested working.
CONDITION Good. All original, fully functional, and tested. The shade is dented and shows broken trim lacing in several areas along the edges. Iron base remains structurally sound with original black enameled finish intact.
