Dazor Model 2008 Flying Saucer Desk Lamp, Mid-Century Atomic Age
Iconic Dazor Model 2008 desk lamp in bronze-tone enamel with brushed brass accents, featuring the unmistakable flying saucer shade that defined Atomic Age design. The fiberglass diffuser glows warmly when lit, and the articulated arm pivots on a brass-capped knuckle joint for adjustable height and angle. Manufactured by Dazor Mfg. Corp., St. Louis, Missouri, with original maker's label intact on the underside and Underwriters Laboratories label preserved on the diffuser.
Steel base, column, and arm finished in metallic bronze enamel with brass collar at the base and brass-capped finial. Ivory plastic adjustment knob and perforated metal vent crown the shade. Felt-lined underside. Fully wired, tested, and functional.
CONDITION
Excellent for age and fully functional when tested. Minor chipping to enamel at the knuckle joint where the column meets the swivel, light scuffing along the shade rim, and expected surface wear consistent with use. Fiberglass diffuser shows scattered scratches but remains structurally sound.
