Pair Danish Teak Tile-Top Side Tables — OX-Art Trioh Style
Matched pair of Danish Modern side tables presenting in the manner of OX-Art for Trioh Møbelfabrik, the celebrated 1970s Danish workshop whose teak-and-tile tables appeared as the Weasley family coffee table in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Each table features four hand-glazed ceramic tiles arranged in a 2×2 field, decorated with a stylized chain-and-scroll motif in burnt amber and cream over a soft craquelure ground. The frames are constructed of solid teak and teak veneer with square legs and a clean rectilinear apron — the form vocabulary Trioh produced throughout the 1970s.
This lot includes both side tables shown. Subtle variation in tile tonality between the pair is consistent with hand-glazed period production. A signature check of the corner tiles and underside stamps is recommended; confirmed Ox-Art signed examples sit at the top of the market for this line.
CONDITION Good overall. Wood frames are structurally sound with finishes intact, and the tile surfaces show no cracks, chips, or glaze losses. One table has a small section of repaired veneer that is hardly noticeable along lower apron; minor scuffing and finish wear are present along top rails, consistent with age and use.
