1964 Beatles Capitol Records Promo Set - Donaldson's Golden Rule Minneapolis
A two-piece Capitol Records promotional advertising set issued by Donaldson's Golden Rule department store of Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Edina, featuring the Beatles in support of "young Michele shoes" at The Michele Shop. The color piece shows the band holding bouquets of flowers in the iconic February 1964 arrival imagery, while the companion black-and-white sheet presents four individual portraits of John, Paul, George, and Ringo above the Capitol Records oval logo and store advertising.
Both sheets carry printed facsimile signatures of all four Beatles across the portraits.
CONDITION
Good overall for ephemeral retail promotional material approaching sixty years of age. Both sheets show pin holes and creases consistent with original display use, along with light edge wear and minor surface soiling. Printed images remain clear with strong contrast and intact color on the bouquet piece.
