Sterling Denmark Demitasse Spoon — Royal Crown Finial, Maker Marked
Sterling silver demitasse spoon of Danish origin, distinguished by a sculpted royal crown finial topped with a small cross — a motif drawn directly from the Danish Royal Crown and frequently used on commemorative, christening, and presentation silver. The crown is rendered in fine three-dimensional detail with open arches, a beaded base band, and a cross pattée at the apex. The handle tapers in a clean, slightly faceted form before opening to a small oval bowl.
The reverse of the bowl is stamped "STERLING DENMARK" alongside a maker's cartouche. Danish sterling carries a strong collector following for both the metalwork tradition and the distinctive Royal Crown iconography seen here.
CONDITION Good. Structurally sound with no dents, bends, or repairs; crown finial fully intact including the cross. Surface tarnish across the handle and bowl, with noticeable scratches and use marks in the bowl interior consistent with age and use. We'll Leave the Polishing to You.
