Cast Bronze Sculptural Paper Bag with Polished Copper Finish
Trompe-l'œil sculpture rendered as a standing grocery sack, cast in bronze with a high-polish copper finish that captures every wrinkle, crease, and folded gusset of the original paper form. The torn upper edge is articulated with a beaded, irregular rim, while the interior is finished in matte black for contrast against the mirrored exterior. A Pop Art–inflected object in the lineage of cast everyday-object sculpture.
The piece is freestanding and can also be wall-mounted. Felt pads are affixed to the underside to protect display surfaces.
CONDITION
Good overall with no structural damage. Polished copper finish presents brightly with light handling marks and minor surface speckling visible under close inspection. Felt feet remain affixed to the base.
