Folk Art Welded Steel Peacock Garden Sculpture with River Stone Body
Whimsical fabricated folk art peacock built from salvaged steel components, with a fanned tail of teardrop-cut plate, a curved rod neck, and a head crowned with two stalked eyes and a fringe of cut-strip wattles. The body cradles a smooth speckled granite river stone within a riveted steel strap cage, and the figure stands on rebar legs terminating in splayed forked-tine feet. Surfaces carry an even oxidized rust patina consistent with intentional outdoor weathering.
The piece reads as one-off artist-made yard art rather than imported production work, with hand-cut plate, hammered joinery, and visible weld beads throughout. Suitable for continued garden or patio display.
