Lidded Beer Stein Group of Four — King, Gerz, Excalibur Souvenir
A grouping of four hinged-lid ceramic beer steins spanning German, Swiss, and American souvenir production. Includes a Heileman's Old Style "Reach for the Best" stein made by Gerz in West Germany, dated 1988, numbered 008905, with ornate pewter lid marked Gerz 94% Zinn; a King-brand Swiss souvenir stein with applied Luzern/Lion of Lucerne pewter medallion on a dark cobalt body with relief figural and foliate decoration, retaining its original King Certificate of Authenticity hangtag and Zinn-marked lid; a relief-molded German tavern-scene stein with figures in traditional dress within rocaille cartouches on a gray salt-glaze ground with copper and cobalt highlights, pewter lid marked DRMI / 63; and an Excalibur Hotel/Casino Las Vegas souvenir stein with dragon and wizard imagery on a luster-glazed body, made in China.
CONDITION
Excellent across the group with no chips, cracks, or hairlines observed. Pewter lids open and close cleanly with intact hinges and thumblifts. Light surface dust and minor handling wear consistent with shelf display; the King stein retains its paper hangtag.
