A bold mid-to-late 20th century expressionist oil on canvas depicting a tall, gaunt equine figure standing over a fallen second figure in a sun-bleached landscape. Painted with confident gestural brushwork over a saturated yellow ochre ground, with drips, splatters, and dramatic passages of black, oxblood, and lavender. The composition reads as a kill scene, mythological encounter, or transformation narrative — ambiguity that gives the piece its haunting power.

The handling is sophisticated: paint applied wet-into-wet, dragged, scumbled, and flung in the manner of Latin American and European neo-expressionism. Clearly the work of a trained hand. The canvas is unsigned front and verso. The frame backing bears an inked red notation reading "CORACHOS" or similar — origin unconfirmed, possibly a title, regional descriptor, or previous owner's mark.
