Description

Hostaform Adjustable-Height Swivel Side Table, Curved Steel & Beech

Modernist pedestal side table with a sculptural wraparound shell formed from a single bent length of black-finished metal, cradling a rectangular beech-toned top. The shell curves under to form an integral lower shelf, while the top floats independently above. A chromed gas-lift column allows height adjustment from 26" to 35¾", swiveling on a weighted black disc base. Marked "Hostaform" at the gas-lift collar, with the cylinder bearing multilingual pressure-cartridge warnings (German, English, French) typical of European-sourced hardware.

CONDITION

Good overall with the mechanism functioning and the form intact. Light scuffs and surface stains across the black shell, and a previous repair with visible cracking to one corner edge of the wood-toned top as shown in the supplemental detail image.
