Danish Modern Teak Rolling Sewing Cart with Sliding Top
Danish modern sewing cart in solid teak, circa 1960s, designed as a compact mobile workstation on four swivel casters. The sliding teak top panel retracts to reveal a divided interior storage well with a canted V-shaped tray suited to spools and notions, alongside a deeper open compartment for larger sewing tools or supplies. Oak secondary wood is visible on interior surfaces, a hallmark of period Danish cabinetmaking.
The cart rides on turned teak legs joined by box stretchers and fitted with original rubber-tired steel swivel casters showing authentic age patina.
CONDITION
Good overall with a warm original finish, sturdy joinery, and a fully operable sliding top mechanism. The sliding top and interior of the storage well shows staining and discoloration, and the casters are oxidized but structurally sound (easily replaceable if desired). Scattered minor surface marks consistent with age and use.
