Swedish Modern Teak Coffee Table — Upturned Ends, Oak Frame & Legs
A long, low Swedish modern coffee table with a figured teak top inset into a solid oak frame. The defining feature is the pair of upturned "sleigh" ends — a subtle architectural lift that gives the long horizontal a sense of motion and keeps items from sliding off. Tapered cylindrical legs join through H-stretchers, a hallmark of Scandinavian joinery from the late 1950s through the 1960s.
Underside retains a partial "Made in Sweden" stamp. Maker unattributed.
CONDITION Good condition overall, structurally sturdy with stable joinery and tight legs. Several dark water rings and oval stains are present on the teak top, concentrated across the central field and most visible under raked light. Light edge wear and finish softening consistent with age throughout.
