Pair 1930s Art Deco Skyscraper Boudoir Lamps in Pressed Glass
A matched pair of Art Deco "skyscraper" boudoir lamps, circa 1930, with tall square-section pressed glass shades cut in a crisp herringbone chevron pattern and capped by ribbed conical finials evoking the stepped spires of period skyscraper architecture. Each shade seats into a black bakelite socket with a knurled turn switch marked "P" above a faceted pressed glass plinth featuring a stylized floral and chevron motif on a stippled ground.
Both lamps retain their original cloth-insulated cords and two-prong plugs. Bulbs are included.
CONDITION
Good and fully functional, tested working. Glass shades and bases are clean with no visible chips or cracks. Bottoms of the shades are wrapped with tape to secure them to the sockets.
