Vintage Teak Danish Modern Bookcase Tower with Three-Drawer Base & Media Bay
Tall storage tower in the Danish Modern idiom, executed in warm teak veneers over engineered cores with solid teak edge banding and trim. The upper section presents two adjustable shelves above a fixed media bay fitted with a rear cord pass-through, while the lower bank houses three graduated drawers running on full-extension ball-bearing slides and fronted by turned wooden knob pulls. Rounded front stiles, a recessed plinth base, and quietly figured rift-cut grain place the piece firmly within the late-twentieth-century Scandinavian export tradition — a form widely produced by Danish makers such as Sun Cabinet and Skovby for the North American market.
CONDITION
Good overall and structurally sound, with all three drawers tracking smoothly on their ball-bearing slides. Notable flaws include veneer chipping at one upper rear corner, light scuffing across the top edge, and two small veneer splits at the back panel where it meets an interior shelf.
