Peruvian Double-Glass Shadowbox with 14 Mounted Tropical Butterflies
A double-sided display housing fourteen mounted tropical butterflies pinned between two panes of glass within a black wood shadowbox frame. The grouping centers on a large pearl-white morpho with iridescent violet sheen, surrounded by a varied arrangement that includes an emerald-banded urania moth, an orange-tipped sulphur, glasswing species, and several richly patterned brush-foots in orange, blue, and brown.
The reverse pane allows viewing of underwing markings, and the frame is wall mountable. A printed "Made in Peru" label is affixed to the lower edge.
CONDITION
Very Good. Specimens are intact with bright color retention and the glass panels are clean. One smaller butterfly has detached from its pin and rests loose inside the case (visible in supplemental reference image).
