Art Deco Chrome Serving Trays with Red Bakelite Handles, Pair
A pair of Art Deco chrome serving trays featuring scalloped rims and center-post handles fitted with cherry-red Bakelite hardware. The taller tray rises on a slim ribbed chrome stem capped with a disc-shaped Bakelite finial, while the lower companion tray carries a bold ringed Bakelite loop handle over a black turned spacer — two distinct silhouettes that read as a coordinated set.
Both pieces are unmarked. Consistent with American chrome holloware production of the 1930s–40s in the manner of Chase or Krome-Kraft.
CONDITION
Good with age-appropriate wear. Chrome retains strong reflectivity with light surface scuffing and minor spotting near the handle posts; Bakelite handles are intact with no cracks observed.
