Antique Leaded Stained Glass Window — Arts & Crafts Floral, Wood Sash
A classic early 20th-century leaded glass window panel in its original wood sash, executed in the Arts & Crafts idiom. The central motif is a symmetrical stylized flower: a green glass spade-form rises from a cluster of two mauve petal forms bracketed by lime-green leaf glass — all leaded in a fluid, curvilinear armature that sweeps outward into the surrounding grid. Background glass throughout is textured hammered cathedral in a warm off-white, giving the panel depth and movement without competing with the color focal point. Lead came is intact with no significant bowing or separation.
The wood sash retains two paint layers — chalky white on the interior glazing rabbet and pale blue on the exterior bottom and side rails — with the top rail worn to bare gray wood. An unrestored survivor piece, not a stripped reproduction.
CONDITION
Good — lead came is secure, all colored glass intact, and the panel displays well. One cracked clear hammered pane in the lower field. Wood sash shows chipped and flaking paint throughout; structurally sound.
