Raymond Johnson Ne Clah He Yei Bi Cha Gouache
Original gouache painting by Navajo artist Raymond Johnson, also known as “Ne Clah He,” depicting a stylized ceremonial dancer identified as Untitled (Yei Bi Cha). The figure features a masked face, feathered headdress, and turquoise adornments, set against a vivid orange ground. Executed in bold, flat color fields with crisp linework, the composition reflects a Yei-inspired subject interpreted through a modern Southwestern aesthetic, characteristic of mid-to-late 20th century Navajo painting. Signed lower right “Ne Clah He.” Presented matted and unframed.
